T Minus 82

T Minus 30 until I see my sailor girl graduate from bootcamp!

For those that saw on the friend feed, yes, I am down 4 pounds. That was from a disappointing Saturday weigh in. But no change from last Wednesday. I'm still hovering at 225 and have been for four or five weeks. It's so difficult to stay motivated when you don't see progress. But you can't see progress without hard work. And I can admit that I haven't been careful about what I eat and I've slacked off on my fitness. I haven't even been back to Zumba this month!

I'm still pleased to have stayed out of the 230s. I'm down 9 pounds this year. At that trajectory, I'll achieve a healthy weight of 150 in a little over 6 years. That's quite a horizon! It's in my power to shorten or lengthen that horizon. I just need to keep moving and watch those portions.

I'll leave you with this bit of autumn flare. My boss hosted a recognition event for all his teams. We went to a glassworks shop in Renton, WA where you can blow your own glass artwork..super cool! Here's a piece I didn't make, but had to cute!

    Brenda even if the scale is not showing it, your activity level is making you healthier from the inside-out. So you are doing fantastic. Down 4 lbs at your last weigh-in shows you are doing what ever your body needed you to do to use that stored fat.

    I've always wanted to do glass blowing...nice there is one so close. You've got this...just need to make a plan and stick with it. You've done it before and when you are ready you will do it again! Congratulations for the 9 pounds...that's nothing to sneeze at!!!

    It's hard when you ARE doing everything you're supposed to but still not seeing progress. Ugh. It's been a year of that, now...grr. But if you keep going, the scale *does* move, it's just frustratingly slow!
