weight-loss plateau?

I think I am at this right now. I really wanted to get down to 186 by Halloween and I'm having doubts it will happen. I've been at the same weight for about two weeks and it's really a bummer! I know I am super happy with all the progress I've made but I really don't want to be stuck in a plateau. I have been sick for almost a month so I know they has played a big part in my weightloss or lack there of. I think I need to stop focusing on the scale and just keep up the good work..... Any tips on getting over that hill? Starting today I am going to get back to working out 5 times a week and eating lots of fruits and veggies and less of the bad stuff. I think this is just an eye opener that I need to jump back on the band wagon. So back to working my ass off again! Keeping the weight off is hard but I know it's worth it.

    Plateaus are the worst - it took me almost a year and a half to lose the last 10 pounds. I was lucky if I lost one pound in a MONTH. Maybe try a new exercise routine? Running seemed to do the trick for me, as well as eating 8+ servings of fruits and veggies every day. Don't give up!

    I think sometimes it is hard not to focus on what the scale reads -- but when I hit a plateau, sometimes what helps me is this. I think it's my body's way of trying to steer me offcourse and get me to go back to my old ways. When I think about my nutrition and fitness accomplishments --even if I'm at a plateau -- I realize that the key is consistency. I think, if I keep doing what I'm doing now -- it WILL pay off down the road. At least that's what I've done in the past -- it's been a slow road for me this time around due to other circumstances -- but it's going in the right direction.

    I think if you refocus on eating lots of fruits and veggies and you restart your exercise program, you will see your weight loss start up again. Don't lose faith. You can do this! Keep sparkin'!

    You look great. Think about making changes you haven't made yet. This might help the plateau!
