Tech Fasting

Monday, October 08, 2012

I usually do this when I've had enough. I am not totally tech fasting, just easing up on the movies, T.V., and Netflix. Lately, these shows have been interpolating my dreams, which is quite annoying and leaves me unrested in the morning.

Plus, I have a ton of work to do. The only thing is that if I go to extreme, then I need to find other ways to destress or unwind or what's the word I'm looking for? Decompress. One of those.

I also have a hard time just doing the occasional show; I guess I have been an entertainment addict for a long time. But, I think overweight people tend to be addicts, whether it's food or something else.

But now, it's time to recharge my batteries too. I am just having a hard time actually recharging my batteries and my eight hours of sleep and exercise just aren't doing it.

We do not have cable, so we do not have the "favorite shows" to watch. My kids really haven't watched enough cable to miss it. I like it bc they play outside more than any of the kids in the neighborhood. They are very physically active, and I'm trying to be more physically active. I use to just sit and watch them. We have the gaming systems, but they still aren't fanatics about those either. Time away from these gadgets is a good thing.
