When Did I become a motivator?

Sunday, October 07, 2012

I just looked at my home page, and saw that I am a spark people motivator! I did a double take, and thought I was on someone else's page. No, Really. I did. So I clicked my self and saw my page there on the motivator's page. Tears welled up. Thank you. wow. That is all I can say.

My journey is not easy, and has had a ton of twists and turns that have knocked me off the path, and hung me out to dry. I HAVE to relose the poundage I lost before the surgeries last year, for my health's sake. Becoming a motivator is, well, just the motivation I need to push me to that edge. Thank you.

Today I "exercised". I rescued my laundry from the basement, with a little help from dh, although I have gone up and down quite a number of times. See, I am not supposed to lift more than ten pounds, and my son (age 19) brought it down. He started it and forgot it. I went down to see if it was dry, and low and behold, I could really tell it was forgotten. I think you know where I am going with that one. It sort of smelled like the wet laundry bag of clothes he brings back from camp. Needless to say, rewashing has been in order. I hung up the now re-cleaned shirts and brought those up separately, as they are definitely less than 10 lbs (times two trips). Brought down an empty basket (times two trips). Checked the dryer (times two trips). Brought up empty laundry detergent bottle, and overstuffed trash bag of dryer lint. (Come on, how much can that weigh? Certainly not ten pounds.) Now washing the third load, um rewash that is. My dh brought the last batch up. I will have to ask my son for the next one, and I think I can bring the blankets up by the armful.

It is sort of like me. I am not washed up, but sometimes I need to get my self into the spin cycle once again, to fluff me up, and get me going. Nothing like the smell of whites out of the dryer with the smell of bleach to clear the air.

I also have been doing my tummy toning, and trying to ignore the back spasms.
Tomorrow is a day off, and I am looking forward to my first holiday day off now that I am working. Yes. Tomorrow morning is the day I am getting back on my wii fit. Slowly. Ten minutes only.

Whoever suggested me for motivator, thank you. That really is motivation for me.

I stumbled upon your page, for the first time today, and understand why you have been nominated best motivator! All those stairs? You might as well have run a 5k! Glad to hear that your health is returning and that you are, indeed, following your docs orders! Thank you for your, even though indirect, motivation today!!

Sometimes it's just news like that to inspire us to go the extra step.
Good to her your health is returning.
All those up and down stairs to the basement is indeed exercise.
In fact I would rather walk a mile outside than do the stairs and laundry. Smile!!
Your sons sounds like a 19 year old. Or maybe like me, I forget things too. Smile!!

    Take care.
