Personal Challenge, Day 14

Today marks my two week point of my Personal Challenge to log everything I eat good or BAD. I have been logging everything. My internet was down for a few so I logged my food the old fashioned way on paper. I did not like what I seen. So I added to my personal challenge to eat healthy. I have done really good. I am not perfect. I am not depriving myself of the foods I love because that is where I go wrong. I deprive myself for so long that when I do give in to my cravings I over do it. So now when I have a craving or just want something I will eat it but in moderation. Like ice cream. I am eating only 1/2 a cup when I do eat it. And today we had Chinese food. I had just an apple for breakfast knowing we were going to eat out so me and my daughter split one meal. It was actually split about 3 ways. We ate and brought some home. I calculated what I ate to about 600 calories. That will be my breakfast and lunch along with the apple. I will have a snack or two and still a sensible dinner. I will stay within my calorie range.
My next personal goal will be to add more exercise time every day. I am usually pretty active and burn a lot of calories doing house work, yard work and gardening. I will add more cardio such as walking, the stationary bike and the elliptical along with strength training.
I feel good about what I have done over the past two weeks. These are huge steps for me even though they are baby steps. I am down one pant size, from a 20 to an 18 and one pair of the 18's I just bought are too big.
So, I will emoticon and move forward with my journey.
