What happens when you are Sparked and those around are down?

Saturday, October 06, 2012

A funny thing has happened since I have found SparkPeople i have noticed the more I get sparked the less support from those that originally had the problem with my weight. I figure I can't be the only one this has happened to so I would voice here to share. When I was originally confronted about my weight I got angry. I thought you know what that is your problem. When I was told by a doctor that losing weight could help my COPD that got my attention. That is how I ended up here. Now that it is not about the other person's problem with my weight and health and it is me that finds it problematic. I am told that i working to hard at this I am over doing it. I don't think I am. I am learning to take proper care of me so that I can live. I am learning it is okay to yes to me. I am worth the effort. I put effort ad care into everyone else and everything I do. So now I am putting into me. There is nothing wrong with being Sparked about you. So when everyone else is down about the time you are investing in you don't you get down too. Get sparked up and go for it like your life depended on it because it does. emoticon

It's really common for the people around us to see us getting excited about Spark People and feel like we are paying less attention to them, or might need them less. People get insecure about these things and need some reassurance that they are still important to you and that you will still give them attention. You aren't alone is experiencing this!

Great attitude, weight is such a difficult subject, it is easier to handle from a doctor. You CAN do it!
