Time for a positive blog, as my blogs here lately have been downers on occasion. Today was a good day.
I went for a bike ride and walk. Biked for about 12 miles total and walked in the woods for about 1.7 miles. That is what I had time for, about 2 hours. Wanted to be home to have lunch for a left over garlic beef enchilada. (Delicious, by the way.) Then had someone picking up a table saw that we were giving away as we are moving to Tennessee soon and didn't want to take it with us.
So today, I reached 1,000 miles on my bike odometer. Gave away a table saw and yesterday a lathe, that we didn't want to take with us, and our basement is getting emptier. We are well on our way there. My husband had his last real day of work. Monday he will be handing in his company issued laptop and other equipment from his old job. We have talked to a painting company and waiting for the written quote, but he thinks they can get it down in October, so we can list our house for sale maybe in early November. Our house hunting trip is scheduled soon. Things are moving forward.
Oh, the other celebration for me anyway, I finally have my permanent crown on my root canaled tooth. Took forever to finally get all those appointments done and get a permanent crown and I am now allowed to chew chewing gum again! Yes, i know this sounds silly, but I like chewing gum and it helps me focus when I have a somewhat boring or repetitive task to do and nice when I want to chew on something but don't have the calories.
Decidedly a good day, I would say. Now if we could just talk to the recommended real estate agent in Tennessee to start house hunting there, that would be nice.
