Birthday beginnings

Happy Day of Life!
I am me, again, as always,
and I live and breathe.
Thank God.

Thankful for my family, my parents (now gone), my husband and sons.
Thankful that there is sunshine today.
Thankful for the fall, the leaves the crisp air, the pumpkins.

This morning I worked at about 5-10 minutes of tucking in my tummy (yep, it still makes my back spaz).

Although I have not met any goal weights. at all. not for a long time. I will forgive myself and look at today as a starting point instead of the goal date. By next year I plan to be lighter, and healthier. This is my starting point. After I enjoy some cheesecake that my hubby got me in lieu of birthday cake.

I read back to my birthday blog last year, and only just now realized that I had been laid off while on medical leave on my birthday last year. What a great thing to actually forget. So, in regards to last year, I have come a long way. I can drive, I can walk, I can move, I can work (even if it is shorter days and a different job). This year, my birthday roses are red : ) All in all, it is better now than a year ago. Not all improvements are marked in pounds and inches. At least not this past year's. Now, maybe next year, I will see the pounds and inches melting. That is my birthday wish/goal for this coming year.

I am thinking I really need to move more, get on my wii fit. Today will be a good day to mark as a beginning.
Happy Birthday to me.

One year from now:
I will be one year older
I will be healthier
Lighter in poundage
more flexible
and my endurance and stamina will be improved.

Let the games begin
That is my wish that I am making happen starting NOW!

You are doing great by now, I think the work is a good kind of therapy for you, I sure do hope so, that's for sure.
I was imagining you going up and down those stairs with your under 10 pound loads, That is so bad he forgot to do it for you.
Just think of all that exercise he left for you, what a good boy, lets see that glass the right way round. Half full for sure!!!
Enjoy your holiday off and it will be a shorter week. Do not do too much remember even though you have walked this road before you must begin with small steps no matter how motivated or motivating. Please take care---Small steps emoticon emoticon emoticon Pat in Augusta.

emoticon (slightly belated.) You've accomplished a great deal in the last year - those things just don't happen to show up on the scale.

First came the surgeries, recovery and the long, painfully slow road to healing. You have come a long way since the accident and taking stock of what you are able to do now is a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday. Do all that you can do. Be all that you can be. Nice to see you back blogging. Do keep us informed of your progress and enjoy your special day!
    You can do this!
