100 lbs. In 300 Days - Day Ten

Thursday, October 04, 2012

Day Ten.... Ohhhhh my goodness. What a rough day number ten was! Anything that could go wrong, DID go wrong. Wow. I'm not going to whine out all of my worries here, but suffice it to say, it was REALLY bad.

I did not make my calorie goals. By the end of the evening I went completely insane and didn't even care. I even ate ice cream with hot fudge sauce on it. I just completely gave in. But THAT'S OKAY. I'm sure of it. I weighed myself this morning to survey the wreckage. It wasn't really that bad. I was only up by two tenths of a pound. I was fine. I just needed to get back in the saddle and hold on again. I didn't let it shake me. That's what's important.

So, food followers, I ate a small plate of biscuits and gravy for breakfast, (it equaled 343 calories), pot roast, (2 oz.) a cup of sweet corn and a cup of cooked carrots for lunch (347 calories! See how well I was doing??) And then I went totally wild at supper time and didn't even log the rest of the nightmare. Fortunately, I hadn't used up too many calories when I fell. So, I guess I'm alright. We have days like that. It will be fine.

Hope you are all on track with whatever goal you are pursuing!

Peace and love to all,

That tree is so pretty! In regard to your food, perhaps you should try increasing your calories in the day focusing on protein? I notice that if I eat a small high carb breakfast and a small high carb lunch, by dinner I am so effing hungry I could eat a literal horse (I *usually* choose icecream over horsemeat though lol). When I upped my protein during the day, I had far less binges (even if I reduced my calories). Maybe the same would work for you? I think about food like : breakfast like soft boiled eggs (70 cal each) or greek yogurt with fruit to sweeten (200 calories), optional high protien or fruit snack (less than 100 cal), lunch as grilled free range chicken breasts and fruits and veggies (usually around 300-400 calories), with an interchangeable dinner (500 calories). FAR less binges when I focused on protein :) Hope it helps you too!

First, if that is a tree you are able to view on a regular basis, I am SO jealous. How gorgeous is THAT?!?!

We all have our ice-cream-and-hot-fudge moments. The next time you have a moment, I suggest you do what helps me - measure it all out. So if you do have a very large bowl, MEASURE the ice cream before heaping it in. Even though we have moments where we don't care (I've eaten "several" cookies which means I lose count), it helps to still be aware of how much we're eating. Because, after all, that's why we're move ourselves into better habits.

Also a suggestion - make sure to eat small meals or snacks throughout the day. I find it helps me from going nuts and overeating at dinnertime (like I did yesterday). Maybe even eat an apple or piece of string cheese while cooking so you're not famished when the dinner food hits the plate.
Thanks so much for sharing! Best wishes on your journey - emoticon
