How to inspire

Thursday, October 04, 2012

You know, every day I spend a good part of my day, trying to find something inspirational for my class. Now this is a Cosmetology class. These are men and women who are very artistic in their own right. I get most of my inspiration from them. But today, my sister sent me a link to youtube's Luie Schwartzberg's Gratitude, and it was profound. If you get a chance look at it. It was beautiful.
Today's lesson is about what is the hottest fashion. I want them to look beyond the visual eye and find the real beauty in each individual that they touch. I want them to really become inspired by each other's face, or the colors of the sky, water, clouds, waterfalls, the sunset, sunrise, flowers, trees, the shape of a mouth or an eye.
There is so much real beauty around us, that only when they are grateful for what is right infront of them, will they be able to create even more.
I wanted to share this with you as well, because as we Sparkers know, beauty is not a size it is within each and everyone of us. A number does not define us, but how we look at these numbers does

Great blog! Have you seen What Not To Wear's make up person, Carmindy? One of the things I love about her is she always tells the person how beautiful she is, points out their best features and shows them how to enhance their appearance. She is someone who sees the beauty around her and helps others see it in themselves as well.

    Very nice! Thanks for sharing!

This reminds me of the Dove commercials/ads that started years ago. They featured women of all shapes and sizes and showed their beauty. I loved those commercials - got to the essence of what you're speaking about.

Best wishes in your next class. They sound great!
