Hurts So Good (Sprint 1/Day3)

Went for a run this morning. It was a good one. Now my legs hurt. A good hurt. Only 10 days left until my 100K relay, so I will be looking to get in probably 3 or 4 more training runs before then. I hope we have good weather for it. We've been allocated our legs of the relay. I'll be running a total of 9.2 km over the course of the day. I think that's very doable. The relay ends at Le Chateau Montebello, and we're spending the night there. Very much looking forward to that. It's a beautiful historic hotel with lots of great walking trails, wonderful food and a nice spa. Might have to schedule a massage.

I've started a new Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge. This one will take me through to the end of the year, which I think is pretty cool. I'm making more of an effort to have a shake for breakfast and lunch this time than I did for the previous challenge, when I was very consistent about breakfast, but not so much for lunch. We'll see how that goes, as I find when I do hard workouts, I'm very hungry.

I ordered a new scale. This new scale measures weight in tenths of a pound increments, and also measures body fat, body water as well as a few other things. My current scale measures weight in half pound increments and does body fat as well. I mainly wanted to have the smaller weight increments. As I tend to lose fairly slowly, I think it might be good for me to see the more precise measurements. I don't really put a lot of faith in the body fat measurements those machines give. They are just other numbers for comparison though.

Calories consumed:

Still consuming calories faster than planned. If this keeps up, at the end of the week I'll consider a higher calorie target, because I am quite hungry.

Exercise minutes:

I have 82 exercise minutes remaining for the week. I'll definitely do more than this by Friday as I have volleyball tomorrow and a training session on Friday. Might look at raising this target for next week.

Exercise calories:

Not sure what to say about this one, as I basically only need to burn 52 more calories to meet this goal. As I said yesterday, I'm not sure how accurate any of the measures of calories burned are, so maybe I'll just track this and see how many I burn on average after a few weeks, and reset my target based on that.
