Why didn't you answer the cell when I called?

Monday, October 01, 2012

How many have heard that question? I use to be a slave to my cellphone. I didn't go no where without it. It was like it should have looked like a pimple on my nose or a mysterous growth on the side of my head. Then came my blue tooth so there was this weird blue light on the side of my head. Then I had a emoticon go off in my head. Why is this thing so important nine times out of ten it was people that wanted to talk about nothing really important. Then I didn't realize how rude it was making to people that I was face to face with having a conversation. I would stop that to answer the cell. So you want to know I didn't answer the cell when you called? Simple I was already in a conversation with someone that was face to face. It is not that you are less important because I will show you the same respect when I see you and the cell rings. It is about respect not just for the two that are face to face but also the person that calls. I just think that when I do speak with you, you should have my full attention. That also works for this sparkpeople plan we need to give it our complete attention to make our goals. emoticon

It is definitely hard to balance. I try to be responsive, but not a slave to my phone.
