I was thinking about what I wanted to accomplish this month and I came up with a few ideas. I am involved in a couple of challenges to keep me motivated and moving in the right direction.
Challenge #1
Peak 313 Living and Active Challenge: I love this challenge because we focus on our spirit as well as improving our physical health. I know that I have been blessed during this challenge. I have met some wonderful and encouraging ladies on my Peak 313 Challenge Team. I almost hate that the challenge will come to an end on Oct. 15 but hope that we all can keep in touch. The scripture memory each week as been very encouraging. We memorized 1John 2:16 last week which talked about cravings. I want to be sure that I am not using food to satisfy any need other than physical hunger and even then I pray to continue to make healthy choices.
Challenge 2:
Size Healthy 90 Day Revolution(found on FB)
This challenge will end on December 16 and focuses on exercise, scripture memory, and positive lifestyle changes. One other aspect of this challenge is to not let the number on the scale define us. This one has been a challenge but I have NOT been weighing myself daily and that is a victory.
I have decided that it is time to finally move out of the 220's because I have been hovering here long enough. I have reached 220 once or twice but never under so that is my goal for this month. This morning I weighed in at 228.8 so I think my goal is realistic and if I stay focused I can do it.
My goal originally was to reach 199 by Christmas but I think that it may be a lofty goal. I have an outfit that I would like to wear for Christmas so that will be my goal. I took pictures of me wearing it this morning and will do so over the next few weeks as a way to hold myself accountable. The shirt and the pants are both size 14. I haven't worn a straight 14 in over 12 years so it would be nice to reach that size again. My ultimate goal size is a 12 and I won't stop till I get there. I can wear 16s now and some 14ws if the cut is just right. My tummy is my problem area and I have narrow hips so even though I can get into them I have a huge muffin top, LOL. Not cute at all!!
