A way to take back my time

Monday, October 01, 2012

I find that it helps me to focus on the task at hand when I cut the phone off for an hour. This helps me to stay on schedule and do what I have determined to do whether it is exercise or preparing for a class or lesson planning. I don't have to answer every call when the phone rings. Besides that is probably someone wanting to add to my already full to do list. emoticon

I should do that with the computer! It's my biggest time-waster.

Great idea! I remember when I was a kid, if the phone rang during dinner, we were not allowed to answer it. This was before there were answering machines. Now we almost all have voicemail, but somehow we interrupt whatever we are doing to answer the phone.

I couldn't agree more! I used to be a slave to my phone and I've managed to train myself ... if it's important, they'll leave a message!
