Sidenote: I had this blog all written out, and the internet didn't like it and lost it. :( So this will probably be shorter, but all well.
Here are my updated goals/rules:
3 freggie servings/day - at least 1 veggie
I love fruits, but have a hard time with veggies. So here I'm going to force myself to get some of those, too.
Drink & track 4 cups of water a day.
Hardest part here: tracking. Here we go!
Track & exercise 90 minutes/day. - Includes walks with the dogs!
Hoping that last part gets me to get the dogs out more, too, instead of just around the backyard.
Track food one weekend day/week.
Tip o' the day
Stop. Put the fork down. Think. Ponder. Digest. Pause. Don't start back up yet - listen to your body. Are you still hungry? If yes, continue eating. If no, stop. Don't continue eating just because you've tracked it and it's all in your ranges. Eat it because of that, and because you are hungry. No shame in putting some of that back, and going back for it in 20 minutes because you got a little hungry again. That's fine. As long as you're body is telling you to eat it, go for it.
Now, last step - give yourself a HUGE pep talk and pat on the back. Boy, do you deserve it! Because that is super hard! Great job. Now, repeat next time you are confronted with meal (or snack!) time.
