I'm hungry

Truely! It has been a long time since I was actually hungry. I woke up this morning as usual, got into the shower and realized that I was hungry. I had forgotten what that felt like.

I'm not sure how to put this into words, but usually I ate because there was food around. I ate because of foods availablility, out of boredom, emotional eating, etc. I even ate food when I was full, just to have something to do to keep me awake in the afternoon. But is has been a long time since I ate something because I was actually hungry.

This is just the first step of many on my journey to get back on track. And even though it has been just a few days, it is getting easier each day.

So breakfast was a yogurt, cheese stick, and a lite english muffin with a little bit of pear butter. Was still a little hungry so I added a few celery sticks with a quick dip of peanut butter on it.

Now, I'm no longer hungry.

    I think there are times I eat because I'm afraid I'll ..... feel hunger!

    It's almost a frightening thing --- but I'm sure the more we have some hunger
    the better off we'll be.

    Fiber always helps my hunger. The trick is to feel your hunger, but not wait until you are starving-ie have no control.

    Pear butter? Never heard of it. Is it good? I'm so happy that you satisfied your hunger without losing your goals. That was great! I know sometimes when I am hungry I would grab any old thing. That was then, this is now! Great going Captain!
