Putting the want to into action

Monday, September 24, 2012

This is the time of year that I want to go outside but my allergies are kicking my butt.

This is the time that I want to lose weight. Really. And this time keep it off now that I am past surgery.

I am past a year past the surgeries. I am feeling mostly better, but have yet to really dive in and do the exercise I need to and want to accomplish. See allergies above. If I can't breathe (re: allergies), it is hard to move, or struggle to breathe doing exercise.

I have to put my want to into action.

Today:
After sitting a while at work, I did a few ham string stretches at my desk.
Another time I got up and stretched a little and sat back down, but my sacral area of my spine started to pinch/hurt. I got up, and went outside and took a walk halfway down the driveway and back. It's a long driveway. It's a parking lot in fact and is about two house lots in length, at least.

Food:
Breakfast - 1 fried egg with 2 slices of Pepperidge Farm 7 grain light bread toast with a little butter, 1 cup of coffee with sugar and cream.
Lunch - 2 tbls. peanut butter and about 10 wheat crackers.
snack - 1 apple peeled.
Dinner - ham, potatoes, salad, vegetable (still in the planning stage)
Water - up to 6 cups so far.

I need to work out a plan for exercise and just start doing it, slowly.
I am so tired after work my brain is mush.
I think if I plan some kind of physical activity, it may revitalize me.
I am going to try to plan some kind of mini walk outside during work.
Plan to get back on my Wii gently and slowly. Plan to get back on my recumbent exercise bike - even if it is slowly, and gently. Just have to do it.

I have had such a hard time doing this since the surgeries.
Pray for me to want to, and to put it into action.
Thanks. I HAVE to lose the weight. I did so well prior to the surgeries, but just can't seem to get it in gear now.

emoticon It is not easy but slow and steady will win the battle. My dr has me going on a new diet-I am not on the verge of being classified as diabetic so.....I can no longer procrastinate. I have to do this-FOR ME. I think you need to do this for you.

Deborah can you do 10 minutes at noon time. Ealy morning is out but lunch time 10 minutes and then if you are wiped out once you are home it is done. If you have enough energy after supper try another 10 minutes. BUILD up from there'

GOAL 1 10 minutes and after that try a couple of VERY gentle stretches, not a lot and not intense, just begin slowly.

Remember to start slow to warm the muscles. Do not stretch before, we should never stretch cold muscles.

Sometimes the exercises energise you so it might happen soon.
