Working it out of my system..

Monday, September 24, 2012

And I am.

3 hours of kennel kids walking on Friday morning.
3 1/2 hours walking 13.25 miles Saturday morning.
3 1/2 hours heavy weeding and raking and hauling on behalf of the kennel kids on Sunday morning.

Maybe there's nothing actually wrong with being grumpy or a bit off. Maybe it's just part of the regular cycle of (my) life and I should stop berating myself for not feeling like a little ray of sunshine all the time.

This should be a relatively low-impact week for me. A bit of this, a bit of that, a bargain trip to Texas and back between Friday and Monday to celebrate Ms. Poppy turning 1. Hard to argue with that kind of joy coming down the pike.

I'm going to blame the grumpys on the weather... Here is why.... We've had what 65 days of sunshine... and only 1 inch of rain in 2 months! Here in the PNW? We aren't use to that.. We need our water, and everything is turning brown. Too much sunshine is making us grumpy. We are all tired from go go go...

Seriously think about it we are use to sunshine and warm weather being here for a day or two, maybe a week at most. So we all go out and play hard and fast. Two months of GOOD Sunny days is taking it's toll on us all.

Now with that said, the sun shine can stay until after next sundays race. :)

I get tired of being Suzy Sunshine. My family of origin expects it. It gets old.

I hope you have a fabulous trip and will have lots of picts to share! Enjoy!

Your bargain trip to texas sounds awesome

I say own and enjoy your crabbiness. Sometimes that can be more inspiring to others (and the self) than being a ray of sunshine.

It's especially effective as a motivator to blog out the negative parts, so when you look back you can see it and see how you moved beyond it. That's also good for others because they can see you as human, not always on track, on target, on goal. That's a hard thing to live up to, and watching others go through their own rollercoasters can be very comforting.

Community service and a baby? Sounds like a great week. Keep working out the head stuff. Being always happy is lovely, but it is not real life. Glad to have you around to model that for me. I've got a blog to write, but not sure how to. Perhaps this will help nudge me. Nancy's latest blog speaks to me, too.

Your activity and giving to the kennel kids is awe-inspiring! Maybe it is ok to just feel what you feel for a while. Whatever the case, I hate to think about you berating for any reason.

Enjoy your time with Poppy and family and hang in there!

I have been in a real slump myself here lately; slightly encouraged by "Rest n' Rehab" day yesterday...

We all get a little grumpy some times. Totally normal! If anyone is always happy, they either have a fabulous psychologist or are badly in need of one...

Oh my gosh I can't believe a year has gone by already!! Happy Birthday to Miss Poppy!!! I think a little Poppy time will be great for you and I agree, I think it's probably just a part of our regular cycles. Besides, when you spread your sunshine, you bring it in spades!!

    Enjoy the trip!

I was in a foul mood yesterday, ran/walked over 12 miles in the morning, then got in an even worse mood, so I headed off to the Esplanade/Waterfront/Powels for another 5ish. My legs are tired today, but it's way better than sitting on the couch eating through my frustrations!

Next time, maybe we should get grumpy together and go hiking!
