My healthy lady and our grocery shopping trip

Sunday, September 23, 2012

Finally, Im updating you!

I met last Wednesday with the lady I told you about in my last blog.

She took me grocery shopping. It was so cool! She took me down every food isle in the dollar store and then every isle in the grocery store and showed me which options were good and which were not good choices. I know it sounds very overwhelming but she made it so easy and fun. It was pretty neat.

I spent $150 including her $50 fee and she got me enough food to last 6 weeks. That girl knows what she is doing!!

So she had be buy some "healthy" foods and some "normal" foods. And then she come to my house went through my cubbards and fridge and told me what I have and what I should stay away from. I love her. she said "I'm not going to tell you what not to eat but you need to decide if the calories are worth it. If you eat something bad you'll have to try and eat less of somthing else later." LOL

So this is what she is having me do.

Within the first 30 minutes of being awake I need to eat a big breakfast around 400. Then pretty much every hour and a half she has me snack so two snacks around 100 to 200 calories each. Then by lunch I need to eat 1100 calories. Then two more snacks, dinner, and a 100 calorie snack/dessert. And all that needs to be done by 7. That way your body has time to digest everything before you go to bed.

Its really easy. I did it for one day last week while I was at work. It worked out so well. I put all the snack and lunch times in my outlook and so I had reminders pop up to remind me to snack. Then today is a cheat day. Yeah, I get one cheat day a week too. So it is pretty awesome. And she had me buy foods that I would eat if I was not dieting. I got to buy the dollar stores brand of oatmeal creme pies! They are only 100 calories! She said ask I train myself to eat on to eat better I can trade the less healthy foods in my meal plans for better ones.

Then she made me 7 different days of meal plans.

I'm really excited to see how this works out. I enjoy the food I eat. And I feel like I am constantly eating stuff so I am not hungry. The only part that is hard is dinner because after that is all gone, I get one snack and then Im cut off for the night. But hopefully I'll get through it and not cheat.

I'll let you all know how it goes later this week.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Sounds so cool. There are a couple of things you said there that I need to incorporate into my eating habits. For example, I don't have breakfast till after I get to work, which is about 2-3 hours after I wake up. And I don't think I've ever eaten dinner before 7, which is something I should aim to do.

Thanks for the tips, I hope that this week goes well!
