Dag! 11 days for 1 pound

Saturday, September 22, 2012

Well-It's better than going the other direction-although the truth is I did win and lose that pound several times in the last 11 days-before I determined TODAY that IT was officially GONE. This is harder than I thought-Coming to terms with my snacking is harder than I thought too. ( I didn't think I ate that often or that much ) SP has helped me be more conscious of my eating activities. It's so humbling to track 3-4 cookies or 6 slices of bread .....I'm sure one day I'll have to log 5-6 fruits/vegetables! Until then- Hey Wait a.. minute! I just ate a Banana!

Oh Elaine - your blog made me smile!! And did you go track that banana???? My guiltly pleasure is miniature York mint patties 3 of them are 150 calories (or is it 140? ) well anyway, I don't mind tracking for 3 ....but when I have more...DARN - I HATE when I do that b/c then they seem to add up pretty darned quick!! Yes, the tracking is a key component I believe....it keeps us honest and is very eye opening!! But hey congratulations on the ONE pound -- you are slowing down the train!! (that's a phrase I always use about this journey -- iI'm like a run-away train - out of control but when I start paying attention (by tracking, exercising, focusing) I'm slowing that train down...so good for you!!
