Tales of the Turtle People!

We have always talked about getting a caravan (I think they are called travel trailers in the US) and traveling around Australia. In April, we rented a motorhome to test the lifestyle and we LOVED it.
Taking the plunge, we ordered our van and picked it up a couple of weeks ago. Last week, we took it up the coast for its first 'shakedown' trip and stayed by the beach for five days.
Tomorrow we are heading off for our first real adventure - taking our little home on our back and driving up the coast of Queensland for a couple of weeks - stopping wherever we feel like. My DH has a reunion on the 29th, but that is the only real plan we have.
When we are traveling, there is always the temptation to eat fast food and takeaways, but I have prepared better this time. We have a full fridge and freezer in the van, so I have spent the week precooking and freezing meals - and measuring cooked chicken into 100gms packs which I have frozen for lunches.
I am off to the butcher soon to pick up some chicken breasts and steaks which will be vacuumed sealed to store in the fridge- a visit to the greengrocer for some salad veges and fruit and we will be set up.
I am not sure when we will have internet access, so I will check in whenever I can, and post some photos of our travels.
We are looking forward to the freedom to just travel and stop wherever the whim takes us.
Have a fantastic week.
