Gallstones issues.

Well about 8 weeks ago I started having abdomen issues and pain. But they were like none I had really had before with my IBS and such. Felt bloated, full and in pain. So thought I had just eaten something but ended up being so tired I took two days off from work. Then it kind of went away but my abs were swollen from then on. I was eating a ton of apple crisp at the time so i stopped for 6 days then had some and got sick again within the hour of eating it. So i thought it was the unripened apples I had picked early and stopped eating it.
I had also noticed i could barely finish my breakfast of 2 cups of oatmeal and 2 cups of blueberries which i had been eating every day for 2 years for the most part. Then after breakfast i would feel bloated and full all day and not want to eat. So i thought it was the blueberries so i stopped eating that after a week or so.
So about two weeks ago i had had enough of the pain, bloating and full feeling which was really messing up my eating and exercising. When I would go running about mile 3 often I would start to feel so bloated it became slightly difficult to breathe because my lungs were being pushed against by my abdomen. So I called my specialist who I had seen for my liver issues and made an appointment. I had to travel for work for about a week so i had some blood work done before i left and then had my appointment last Thursday a day after I arrived home from my trip.
Saw the doctor and he said I had about an 80% chance that I had gallstones moving from my gall bladder and getting stuck possibly. I told him I had also finally figured out the night before that oatmeal was the main trigger food for my worst attacks of this. I also told him that 4 years ago I had an ultrasound and they saw gallstones then. So my billirubin was elevated which can indicate gallbladder backup so he order the same blood panels again to compare and they came back the same.
So I went in for an ultrasound yesterday and am waiting to hear back on that but I already have a surgical consult set up next week in case I need my gall bladder removed.
Ok a day more has passed since I started this and was wondering why my doctor was taking so long to get back to me. Well my ultrasound from 4 years ago had shown I had many gallstones, the one from this week shows I have none! So huh?
Anyway now I am to get a Nuclear test on my gall bladder to see if it is working correctly, if it is then he will looking into my stomach with a scope down my throat. If it is not functioning correctly then more than likely take it out.
Fun times and life is never boring. Good this is I ran 6 miles last night and my knee which was a bit sore felt better and my abs felt ok. So all clear for being part of the relay race this weekend!
If i can get this gall bladder or whatever this figured out by November then I can celebrate that and 5 years of maintaining!
Had the nuclear test and my gall bladder is fine so next is a scoping of my stomach via my throat next Wednesday. Not looking forward to being knocked out to have that done but need to do it to get to the bottom of it.
