Super Motivated, but injured

Monday, September 17, 2012

Had a bad weekend; just super exhausted and PO'ed at my new scale (but we're friends again since this morning's weigh-in). Got motivated on Sunday, made my Steps goal, re-worked my exercise plan and was super motivated and ready to go. Then, BAM! Sunday night, I somehow managed to strain my elbow (still hoping it's a sprain and with a couple of days rest, be ready to go, if not, a visit to the doctor will be in order). Woke up this morning and my body was stiff all day. Tried to do some stretching, but am too afraid of further injuring my elbow.

Planned to get in some steps today, but was just achy and lost my motivation. Ate well today and will have to get back on track tomorrow with my steps at least.

Feeling frustrated today. Super motivated and ready to go but injured and can't do what I want to do (cardio and strength training).

When a part of me hurts, then I try working on another area, for example when my knees hurt, I complete chair arm exercises, When my legs hurt I work on my core, When I have tennis elbow, I walk....I let my body dictate my exercise area for the day, But I will work on something...Hope your feeling better soon, Keep focused on your goal....Hugs
