September Goals Update

Monday, September 17, 2012

Wow, this month has been just crazy!!!!!! I knew it was going to be a challenge, but thought I would be able to have a little better control over it. Well, I was wrong, have you ever been wrong, I was wrong. emoticon

Fall semester started for both my husband and I. School started for my son. My daughter decided to be evil caneval. And thanks to the holiday, work has been insane!!! emoticon

So yes, both my husband and I work full-time, both go to school, we have two small children - my son is 4.5, and we have a daughter who is 2.5.

I just joined SparkCoach to try two weeks I did the first 5 days, then life really went bonkers. So, today was my first day back to it in over a week. Not sure about it yet. Not sure if it is worth money to use past the two week trial. Jury is still out.

To get fitness in during September has been a challenge:

Month Goals
*Perfect Attendance Award for September - have been able to at least log in and record food the past two weeks, but not much else until today.
*Reach Level 12 (started the month at Level 11 with 4950 pts to go to level 12, and 10,050 SparkPoints total) - not sure if I will reach this thanks to my limited activity the first two weeks - I have 11,732 points as of today with 3,268 to go to level 12
*Complete 1200 fitness minutes - again, not sure if I will reach this - usually have well over 500 by now - 417 so far
*Reach 140 lbs, cw 148.8 - on track - been doing better at controlling my weekends
*Portion my breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the work week on Sundays - so far so good

Daily Goals
*Get at least 100 spark points a day - this has not happened - only 1182 for the month so far - 69 pts a day
*Drink 12 glasses of water a day - getting my water it!!!!
*Eat 5+ fruits and veggies a day - getting my fruits and veggies in!!!!
*Stick to what I packed to eat at work (no stress vending machine eating) - all but one day
*Get in 10 mins a day of cardio and 10 mins a day of strength training, if I can get more, bonus - finding time for me has not been easy, steal it when I can, but has been hard
*Walk a minimum of 3000 steps while at work each day - 7 out of 9 work days so far

So, not doing great on everything, but I have been doing good at controlling my emotional eating (unlike the end of August). I have been doing good at maintaining over the weekends, I usually gain 3 to 5 lbs over a weekend. Just need to fit the exercise in. But for how crazy things have been, I am doing good.
