Taking it one week at a time.

I've always been skinny, but never healthy, so "health and fitness" always meant getting healthy and not worrying about my weight. I gained 25lbs with my daughter and since having her I've lost 10lbs, and that came off naturally within the first week. So for the first time ever I need to really focus on losing weight. Some may say it doesn't matter because I'm still within a healthy weight and BMI, but it matters to me. I can't zip my jeans. It matters to me!
Last summer I used MyFitnessPal online to track my food and exercise. I had luck with that so I'm using it again. I'm not thinking about the big picture at this point because that's overwhelming. I'm just thinking about the first week. I'm going to stick to my plan for a week and when I see a pound or two weight loss I'll have the motivation to keep going.
The plan I'm following is one of my own design. Staying home with my daughter for the next four months limits some of the exercises I used to love doing, like swimming. So I'm doing what I can and accepting it. I'm taking the baby for walks during the day as often as possible. When my husband comes home from work I plan to go out for a jog at the park a few times a week. I'm usually starving in the morning and early afternoon, so I'm eating a big breakfast full of fiber and protein. When I feel like snacking I'm having water with lemon in it. I'll check back in with updates.
