My Ideal Fit

We were out and about at the mall this weekend with the kiddos and we came around to a little set up in the middle of the aisle. It was called me-ality. It looks like the scanners they use in the airport for secruity that no one wants to go into. Well it scans your whole body in 3D and somehow takes your measurements. Then it provides you with clothing and style suggestions based on your specific measurements. You receive a print out for the stores and brands that are at that specific mall but they also send you an email that has additional recommendations. (I was upset when I first got the paper because they sized me at mostly 12s with some 10s here and there. But for dresses I'm an 8. Go figure.) They provide for jean, dress pants, skirt, sweaters, tops, dresses and soon to come inimates. It's supposed to make it easier to shop on-line. On the print out is also a Indicator line with an arrow. The arrow on the color bar indicates how well each style will fit you. The closer the arrow is to the right the better the for for your body. Most of my arrows are about 60% or above. Very few are all the way to the right. You gals know how women's clothing is. You were one size and in one store or brand and then something completely different in another store or brand. OH did I forget to tell you that's FREE. Yes the service is completely FREE. So I jumped at the chance to do it.
I ended up back the mall the next day without the kiddos and hubby so I can see how well the recommendation were for me. The hardest part was finding the actual brands in the store. I went the JCP and tried to find the Levi's Slight Curve Skinny - Low Rise Jeans. What a mission but I did finally find them. According to the print out, my size is 12/31. I have to say that they did fit nicely but the waist was kinda loose so for comparison I tried on the 10/30. Here the thighs were a bit snug but the waist was just perfect. If I was going to purchase a pair, I probably would have gone with the 10/30 just because I'm still losing weight and wouldn't want the jeans to get too big. Oh the indicator arrow is was about all the way to to the right for this brand.
All in all I would recommend to every women who can find one to get it done. It's FREE people and the size is pretty good. You will still need to try one a few sizes just to see if you like one over the next but I would say that it was pretty accurate. If I would have ordered the Levi 12/31 on line, I would have been happy with the fit. me-ality.com/
you can go on-line to see if there is one in a mall near you.
Here is me in one of the recommended jeans. I really liked the top but couldn't decide whether to purchase it or not. You decide. Oh I think I look great from the front.
It's the side shot that shows all of my imperfections
