September was supposed to be my month

Saturday, September 15, 2012

Well September is half over and so far it sucks!

I was all excited...September was gonna be my month to get back on track. I was going to start Sparking again on a regular basis, using nutrition trackers and hopefully get the scale moving again and training for my half marathons was gonna start back up with the promise of cooler weather.

Well none of that has happened :(

I was using my dad's wireless internet for the past few months but he needed it back :( So I was without internet for two much for Sparking.

That isn't even the icing on the cake...I have an injury to my neck, shoulder and back...something was mentioned about myofascial pain (still have to Google that). I have been taken off work and I am not allowed to exercise. No running (the impact), no core (can't support my neck properly), no yoga (many of the poses requires weight to be put on my bad side) and now no going for walks (went for a little walk 7 miles in 90 minutes...chiro told me he should kick my ass for that little stunt).

I have been ordered that the only thing I am allowed to do this weekend until I see him on Monday is read, watch tv and play on the internet. I have been doing so much reading lately that they are starting to know me at the library on a first name basis. I read 5 books in 5 days...started my 6th but had appointments but I will finish it by tonight. At this rate I will have the Sookie Stackhouse series read by the time I go back to work (all 12 books). Did I mention that I am not a reader...But lately I have found great comfort in reading...since the beginning of August I have read over 20 books...I haven't read 20 books over the last decade.

On my weight loss...well the scale isn't moving in either direction and while that is ok...I really just want to get to a healthy BMI...I have trouble areas I am still working on...wish I could just lose fat from certain areas (mainly my thighs).

I am gonna try to make the most out of the rest of September and hoping that October will be my month. I have my first half of my fall/winter marathon season in October. Even though my training will be a little off I still plan on doing it and running as much of it as I can and walking when I need to but I will finish it.

I hope everyone had a great I am personally glad it is over...I am not a summer runner and my miles suffer due to heat and humidity.

Thanks for stoppin' by emoticon

Hi! I love reading and am trying to fit it in during the day...luckily I can read and walk, so when I take the deposit to the bank I usually take my book along with me...I know I know most people can't read and walk but I have always had that talent LOL. Sorry to hear about the injury hope things turn around soon. Keep up the good work and I mean that, sounds like you haven't turned to food for comfort so that is awesome! Looking forward to October with you!

Even if you can't exercise like you want to do, you can still get good eating habits in the works and plan on possible exercises when you can do them again. If you have a good plan in place you might be more willing to stick with things rather than go with a flow you're not ready for. I hope you feel better soon.
