Shopping......all day long.

Thursday, September 13, 2012

Yesterday was the day for an appointment for my new car. Yes, I have a new car. Hubby made the decision to get a new car after the third trip to the repair shop in as many weeks. I loved my Intrepid but with eleven years serving us it was time to say goodbye. I will miss her roominess...and her get up and go.......but with Hubby gone a lot...I needed safe and reliable transportation. I now have a red VW Jetta which I call Miss Scarlet. She has enough get up and go.....plus she don't drink much....and she fits into parking spaces easily.

So my friend and I went to the Dealer for Miss Scarlet's first checkup and then we went shopping. We walked my feet off again. And I had to take my shoes off at the last store. I bought a couple things for my bedroom and bathroom. I will take pictures of them when I get them placed in the rooms. I also found a couple cute pictures to go on the walls. It was a great way to get in those 10,000 steps a day...but we ate spinach enchiladas which I am sure were loaded with calories. The time spent with a friend, the laughs and giggles, were well worth any extra calories I ate. Those days for me are few and far between..... and Priceless!!
