Learning and Losing

This is the end of my 1st wk with Spark People and I am amazed at how much I have learned! The food tracker is awesome. I never really realized how many calories I was taking in in a day. I just ate if I was hungry, if I was happy, sad, tired, worried, whatever. Food just had control of me. Now, for the 1st time, I feel like I have control over food. I have also started excercising. For me, this is amazing because I am by nature a very sedentary person. If I feel overwhelmed or depressed, I usually just go to bed. Now I actually am starting to have more energy. I'm not where I want to be yet by any means, but I am closer than I have ever been. I don't have any scales yet, but I think I must be losing wt because I was able to get into a pair of jeans that just a few weeks ago I couldn't even get the zipper to meet! THAT was exciting after just 4 days of monitoring food intake and walking on my treadmill. Gives me motivation to keep on and makes me want to try even harder!
