Day of Remembrance

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

I wrote this about 8 years ago on September 11th when everything still felt like they were falling apart and still so uncertain about the future.

Day of Remembrance

To remember the day
is to remember the love

To remember the day
is to remember the pain

To remember the day
is to remember the ashes
pouring down like rain.

To remember the day
is to forget the danger
and hug the nearest stranger

To remember the day
is to pray for your neighbor
who is still not home from war

To remember the day
is to cry for thoughs who could not come home
or walk through the door anymore

But most of all.....

To remember the day is to walk with your head held high and love like you've never loved before, because we are Americans binded together forever more.

Thank you to all those that have served or are now serving and to those who love and support them in their journey to help fight for us and allow us to keep our freedom. We all know that freedom isn't free and we sacrifice so much for that honor. God Bless.
