It's official, Preston is 4 now! He had a wonderful day! Despite the super rainy day, there was nothing gloomy about it! Only one little "hiccup". Daddy and I got Preston the grill he's been dreaming of (much better than the shoebox one I built a few months back!). We knew he'd be anxious to play with it, so daddy put it together ahead of time. For the element of surprise, we wrapped the box it came in, and hid the grill in our room.
Well, about 15 minutes before his party, he went in our room (not even sure why he went in there) and found it! He came out, very calm, and said "Hey, I found my grill in your room." It was almost like he was asking a question...like, "why is that in there?". Oh well, right?!
Here's some pictures of the day!
OK, first, the cake. Let me explain. Preston loves everything that has wheels. The grounds people in our complex drive around a "buggie" (it's a mule) and Preston is quite fond of it. They have let him sit in the drivers seat and pretend drive before.
So when we were looking through the cake "book" at the bakery, Preston found this cake and fell in love, because he wanted the golf cart.
Here is daddy reading a card to him...

All and all, it was a great day. Thanks to everyone who sent Preston birthday goodies, I showed him them all!
Next up, Emily's sweet 16, YIKES!
