From the Choice Gleanings Calendar

DAILY READINGS: 2 Samuel 23; Jeremiah 7; Ephesians 1:15 to 2:10

Without faith it is impossible to please Him. Hebrews 11:6

"If I only had more faith." This is a noble aspiration, but there is something better then great faith. It is a great Saviour. The object of faith is of the utmost importance. Most of us desire more faith, but faith the size of a mustard seed can remove mountains if it is faith in Him (Math. 17:20). Paul wrote, "Ye are all the children of God by faith" (Gal 3:26). Even with small faith I am as much a child of God as the heroes of the faith. However, let us not be content with weak faith, but like the apostles ask our Lord to "increase our faith" (Luke 17:5). —Milton Haack

My faith has found a resting place, not in device or creed;
I trust the ever living One, His wounds for me shall plead.
I need no other argument, I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died, and that He died for me. —Eliza Hewitt
