Life is what you make it - it's all perspective. Some things in life are about attitude; other things about fact; others are purely emotional.

Recently I've been doing a lot of thinking about perspective. I personally am just miffed that it's still SO hot & humid here in Charlotte. But then I realized - hey, I've got air in my car, home & office. So even though it's hot & humid as it can be outside, I don't spend much time out there - so it's all about perspective.

I had an experience this week where someone I barely knew made what I'd call an off-hand comment. Now it wasn't directed toward me, but later i started thinking about it & wondered IF she really was making that comment toward me. Now really, why would I think that? So I gave myself a good talking to about PERSPECTIVE. Honestly, she had no reason & truthfully IF the comment was made toward me, so what??

Most recently, after having lost this weight, I KNOW how much thinner I am, and was feeling pretty good about myself. But after being at the same weight for almost 2 month AND not having gained, I've started feeling BIG again. I saw a picture of myself from spring and I know I'm not that big any more. SO I think it's the stabilization that now I'm used to my new body! (By the way, I'm down 5 sizes - almost 6; and am planning on trying to lose another 15-20 pounds beginning my really strict diet again in October) SO, it's perspective, huh? Very interesting!

How's your perspective right now?

You are SO right - perspective and attitude are HUGE. Often you can decide to be happy or decide to be unhappy, depending on what perspective you want to take. I have to admit, it frustrates me sometimes when I need to be around people who appear to actively seek out perspectives that allow them to be negative and unhappy. (Oh, you gave me a bag of gold? It's too heavy!!!). I have to remind myself that I can't control their choices, only mine - and I choose to look for the positive perspective!!!

My perspective has gotten much better especially since joining Sparks and it is so amazing all the little extra things you notice and discover about your self as we move along on our journey.
