I jogged 55 minutes on the elliptical and went 3.33 miles! That is another personal best. Woohoo! I had a good workout today. Also, I lost 2 pounds this week! Yay!
I have determined that what I really like about the elliptical is the fact that it is no impact. I was talking to a MUCH SMALLER friend of mine who runs outside around her neighborhood and she said that the constant bouncing of her hips and impact on her knees bothered her a lot . I'm glad I don't have any of those problems on the elliptical since it is a very fluid movement. I might no be burning as many calories as I would really running, but at this weight I think I need the no impact workout. Once I lose the weight I would like to get more comfortable running outside and sign up for some 5k races. But for now the elliptical is just fine!
Wednesdays are now my favorite day of the week because they are my "home day." It is the only day we don't have some place to be this semester. Thank goodness! I need one day a week to just stay home and get stuff done. Have a great evening SparkFriends!
