Lost so far this year

Wednesday, September 05, 2012

I am trying not to feel defeated. completely.... I have not lost any weight this year.

Well, actually, that's not true. I've actually lost and gained about 50 pounds this year so far! Up --Down Up--Down Up--Down!

Trying to get started again. It has been a very intense year on the home front. I would have loved to have said that I was faithful.

My birthday is coming soon. I will try to seek motivation and perseverance. I would love to regain what the locusts have eaten!

Thanks for listening

Makes me crazy, too. Up 3 pounds, down 3 pounds. All summer long. Here's to a better September! emoticon

Keep trying, don't ever give up! This is for the long haul and not the quick fix. Enough cliches, work on one bad habit at a time. Pick one thing you know you need to change and work at that, the other stuff can wait. It is so much easier to try and conquer one goal before moving on to the next one. When I started one of my goals was to change my after work eating habits. I was eating a meal for a snack! Now I do have a snack, it is still a challenge but most of the time I do pretty well. Another goal was exercising regularly. I had to find what worked for me and I do exercise regularly now! You can do this!

Perfect time to start over! You are still in the game and that's all that really matters.
I can't tell you how many times I started over.... Eventually it WILL all fall into place. What helped me more than anything was committing to "just 10 minutes" of exercise a day. And I finally got my eating in control by tracking, drinking more water, eating more fruit and vegetables.... I mean, who knew?!?!! Well, everyone but me. It just takes a while for it all to click. At least it took me 3 years of not losing. But I finally did! Still more to go, of course. With your busy life, you deserve a giant

Hang in there! One of my favorite quotes is “Kites rise highest against the wind; not with it.” – Sir Winston Churchill. Hope the rest of the week goes well for you!

Stay strong, and remember that you are always winning as long as you are in the game. This is not between you or anyone else, this is just you finding ways to take better care and loving yourself. But don't beat up on yourself, you are not the problem you are the solution. The problem usually are the variables (food:diet/working out:lack of working out/support:no support). You already have perseverance if you are still here, and motivation is something we all need on the daily! God bless and go get 'em! :) emoticon

You know, yo-yoing makes it harder and harder to lose weight, and the scale is no way to weigh your life. Life is what it is, so enjoy it! Give yourself the best birthday ever! Love yourself! Live healthy, and the weight will take care of itself. Have a happy birthday! emoticon
