Okay, it's fall! Time to reset goals, refocus and recommit to some past goals we have let slip or slide to the wayside.

If you ended summer feeling a little doughy around your center and a little too much bounce in your trounce, this is the perfect time to pump up that metabolism and get back on track.

Here are some goals for the first two weeks of our Fabulous Fitness Fall Challenge to reset our metabolism!

Rest:
Yes, sleep is an important part of weight loss. 8-9 hrs. of sleep during the dark hours is the optimal amount for proper hormone balance that aids in fat loss, muscle growth, healing and recovery. Turn off your computer and get in bed by 10:00 p.m. on most nights.

Nutrition:
You want your last meal of the day to be the lightest and easiest to digest. Eat fish, poultry and veggies for dinner. Save your grains for breakfast or lunches. Eat your last meal by 8 p.m.

Exercise:
Walk/jog/run for 25 minutes most days of the week. I aim for 5 days. Three days are at a brisk walk pace. Two days are walk/jog/run intervals.

I will be adding some HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts that I am using in the BIQ (Burn it Quick) classes I teach, in the next couple of days.

To Do:
Drink Plenty of water every day.
Get plenty of sleep/rest every day.
Walk/jog/run most every day.
Keep a positive attitude and know that the choices you are making lead to a live time of healthy and optimal fitness.
