Let me start out by telling a little bit about myself. I am married to my high school sweetheart and just out of college. My husband is in the army reserve, but is currently seeking full time employment. We recently moved in with my father-in-law and my husband lost his job a short time after that. I am working as an associate trainer at Panera Bread.
It seems that a lot of negative things have been going on in my life recently, but nothing absolutely horrible. It has just been rough so I decided that focusing my energy on something that I can control, like getting fit, is going to be the best outlet for me right now.
It truly seems that I am starting over again. Rebuilding my life from the ground up. I may as well start with the very basic and most important aspect, my well-being. Being healthy will imporve my quality of life and in doing so the life of those around me.
I started couch to 5k 3 weeks ago. It is hard, but I feel like I am most definatly making progress. Just having a concious mind to make better decisions is helping me in my life all around.
I was skeptical of spark poeple at first. For one thing, there was so much information on here in the beginning I was overwhelmed! I got on here once and didn't return for several months. Then a friend of mine was telling me about this website that was really helping her with her weight loss goal. She said that it was very motivating and had lots of great tips and information. She said "Have you ever heard of Spark People"? Of course I had, so I gave it another shot and I am SO glad that I did!
I plan to use this blog as an emotional outlet as I deal with the stress of daily life and of trying to change my lifestyle. I expect that it will help me manage my emotions and keep a clear head so that I can see the future clearly and reach my goals
