Planning ahead is gonna be good!

Sunday, September 02, 2012

So, I finally got all my meals planned, and went to the grocery store yesterday. I made a SP recipe for dinner last night, and might I add that it was pretty tasty! My biggest obstacle with planning at this point is that I am so slow at it. It is not realistic for me to spend 3 or 4 hours planning out what my family will eat for the next week. I am hopeful that I will get better at this the more I do it. For example, I saved 3 groups each for breakfast and lunch and found that once I did that it was super quick to plug them in on certain days. I think that may be the key for me. Being a family of 5, it is just easier to stick with a few faves per week than to try to buy food for different meals each day. I have been reading other's suggestions for what to pack in kid's school lunches, which has been really insightful. Well, I am going to head out and do some much needed yard work. Have a great day!

It is fun to experiment with new foods. Sometimes hubby won't like it but I keep trying!
