Once again

Sunday, September 02, 2012

So Sept is going to be a month of hell followed by who knows what. I met with my psychiatrist and told him that I was going off the lithium that he had put me on in Apr. The weight gain and exacerbation of my essential tremor made lithium another no-go drug. So the next few weeks will be interesting as I cold turkey off the lithium and switch to another mood stabilizer which I have used in the past.
So my goals this month are simple.

1) Take my meds
2) Drink 10 glasses of water a day (new med requires 1 glass per 25 lbs)
3) Sleep from 12 - 8 am.
4) Eat 3 meals a day.
5) Get to the gym 3 times a week.

So simple and yet so challenging.

You can do it! It will not be easy, but who says it should be. I am reading this book, where the author suggests to come in terms with pain, be it emotional or physical. The more we accept the pain, the higher will our tolerance will be, and the happier we will be.
Anyway, enough of my talking, just remind yourself that you are the most important person in your life and you deserve to take care of yourself.
