The countdown is on! I went this evening to go pick up my race bag.
I also got this free shirt which is made of super awesome wicking fabric [which is great because all of my running/wicking shirts are too small still so I've been wearing non-wicking cotton t-shirts]
[this shirt also makes my boobs look huge and I'm not sure why]
There was also a coupon for 15% off at a local running store [with no expiration date!], which is great because I'm going to need new running shoes soon. I
Also, I put a pink streak in my hair to celebrate!
I haven't dyed my hair any funky colours in about a year because of the continuous job search, but I figured this was okay because 1) I didn't bleach it first, so it's barely noticeable and it'll fade quickly and 2) I'm dyeing my hair [my regular red] next week anyway. And I have no upcoming job interviews so, yeah, whatever. As long as it's out by my brother's wedding, it's okay.
Anyway, in 12 hours, I should be almost done with the 5K! Exciting! Okay, time to go get my stuff together for the morning [I still haven't decided what shirt to wear, oops! I don't want to wear the race's shirt because that's too mainstream and also, it clashes with my running shorts/shoes]. And then in bed by 10:30 and awake at 6:30 so I have time to have breakfast and digest it before the race at 9:30 [I really can't run with any food in my stomach because I get awful cramps, but I also can't run without eating breakfast because I get lightheaded, so I have a three hour gap that I've carefully decided on after weeks of experiments].
I may or may not get to update right after the race. Tomorrow's actually really busy after the 5K, what with the Doctor Who premiere, my mom taking me out in the afternoon, and visiting my aunt later. If nothing else, I'll try to pop in for a quick status update with the race results.
