Diagnoses are good, right?

I finally have a diagnosis to go with my foot pain -- plantar faciitis (which apparently I can't spell correctly).
Anyway, I have stretches to do three times a day and a way to tape my feet that help support the arches while the tendons are trying to heal. The doc says that 50% of people heal with just those two steps--I'll see him again in 6 weeks to see if I'm making progress. Meanwhile, I need to track down another pair of supportive shoes. I tried on 20+ pairs of shoes finding the pair I have on...
