17 day Diet Cycle 2 Day 3 & 4

Thursday, August 30, 2012

I'm still doing okay. The last few days have been a little tough. Some days I just want to eat whatever I want - like potatoes or rice. I did have equivalent of a 1/2 a med potato last night because Hubbie had made supper for me and the roasted potatoes are so yummy. - But hey - they weren't fries or potato chips.

The weight loss is stalling now. After the weekend I was up 3 pounds - but I think that was bloat because I had corn on the cob and a few beer. I didn't go over board on the weekend though. I'm back down to 202.4.

I have to say I think I like Cycle 1 better than Cycle 2.

Thank you everyone. I'm doing fine now. Today was easy. I'm actually finding it hard to eat as much as I should!

Cycle 1 is much more rigid but easier not to stray.....but Cycle 2 helps to keep your metabolism off guard....you will lose again soon. 1/2 of a potato isn't so bad....but resisting temptations is the key! Now that you are in Cycle 2, have you made any of the Dr Mike Power Cookies? I found them to be amazingly filling and sweet after foregoing sugar. Hang in there, emoticon

Mel - I'm so glad you're still here! Weekends are certainly my tough time as well. All week long I can stay motivated and then comes the weekend with friends, food, and drink. However, Monday comes around and I'm back to healthy living. It sort of works for me. I've been on Sparks now I think for 6 years. When I started here I was just a little heavier than I wanted to be. Now I'm still the same weight - a little heavier than I mean to be, BUT I'm not any heavier over that period of time like most of my friends!

    Life is good!

Motivation is always higher at the beginning Mel. Don't give up. Think of running with Avery past the next race, forever - a sport the two of you can meet up to do when he is an adult and moved away from home. Think long term - you can do this.
