Enuff, Already!

Wednesday, August 29, 2012

Okay...I'm officially REALLY tired of now TS Isaac! He decided to camp out in SE Louisiana, barely crawling forward, and dragging mondo amounts of water and dumping them all over our area. Sections of town that have never flooded before are flooding now, and very badly. Please pray for the area. Lots of people getting stranded in places that have always stayed dry before now. It's the sheer magnitude of the rain...and tomorrow, my area will get hit with the reverse winds, which will cause a storm surge pushing Lake Pontchartrain onto the North Shore, flooding even more areas.

Enuff already! Because he's dawdled so much, Isaac is creating a LOT more damage than anyone expected from him.

Meanwhile, even though we lost power at the church for several hours today, it came back around 5pm. Again, it was a day of "eat this, 'cause it'll be wasted otherwise"...so, it was another day of poor nutrition and over-calorification. emoticon

Still feeling pretty decent, though. And I didn't get all puffy from the excess sodium yesterday. I hope that is the result from today, too...find out in the morning.

One thing that is limiting my movement today is that my bursitis is acting up, my hip is on again off again for the last few weeks, but my right knee is hurting. So, no dancing today! emoticon I did some seated upper body strength exercises instead.

Hoping Isaac takes a hike soon.

Thanks for all the prayers and encouraging words. Isaac nearly flooded my sister's house, has flooded about a quarter of my town (not where I am, though), many things are shut down, but life goes on.

Day 3 of unreality, as my church is still sheltering a couple families who have no power at their homes yet.

Glad to hear your still hanging in there. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Here's hoping the storm gets moving and moves on out. Here in Colorado we have had fires for most of the summer. At one time I had fires on 3 sides of me. Luckily none were very close. emoticon emoticon

Glad your hanging in there! Did not realize the storm was making this big of an impact.
    Sending a prayer your way.
