Lesson Learned: Keep Exercising to Avoid the Pains of Old Age

This weekend we were cleaning out the garage. I moved slightly to the left while simultaneously picking up something off the floor. Well, my body didn't like that juxtaposition and I pulled a muscle in my lower back.

Had I kept up with my strength training and Wii Yoga routine, this probably would not have happened.

I've learned the following lessons from this ordeal:
1. I can't let life get in the way of me taking care of myself
2. Keep up with my daily exercise routines to better prepare my body for those extraneous situations when physical exertion is necessary
3. Pulled muscles need only rest for 1 day
4. Don't allow yourself to sit for more that 20-30 minutes at a time in the same spot (i.e. at the PC, on the couch)

So, let's get physical AGAIN!

    emoticon I can tell you that what you say is true. I'm in bed almost all the time; excepts for my daily things and with help. I have some medical's conditions and I want to move my body and my body doesn't want to be move. emoticon
