good news and bad news.

bad news: I'm going to have to take some time off running. pretty upsetting but I knew with the new pain that was happening over the week end that it'd be best to take at least a few days off. So, lots of spinning the next few days and I'll see how it's feeling. I'm allowed to run through discomfort but not through pain.
Good news: I talked to one of the athletic trainers about it. I was nervous he wouldn't really want to help me after I discontinued running with the team but he was really nice about it. I told him what's been going on and he said that I was right and it is a soleus issue. He said I'm doing the right thing and that he would hope that it would be back to normal soon, it could be anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks.
Bad news: my old roommate this summer is causing a whole mess of drama. Apparently I talked crap about her behind her back. We didn't leave on the best of terms and weeks after I moved out it's suddenly a problem. I swear some people never leave high school...
Good news: I talked to my new roommates a bit and am feeling a bit more hopeful about the situation. They seem to be weird which is good because I'm one of the oddest roommate I know off.
bad news: I was trying to be productive yesterday and went to take my pass port application in. Everything went wrong, I went to the wrong post office, I got lost, I was late for work, they couldn't take my application, and then on the way home my breaks stop working. I seriously thought I was going to die. Luckily I swerved into an empty parking lot before I hit this van. It was really rough getting the car back to campus. A friend of my boss is coming to look at the car tomorrow. Really sucks because I was planning on going home this week end for the first time in 9 months.
good news: After life guarding I was going to do some work on the ball but ended up doing some fitness hooping instead. Were doing a preview day as part of the freshmen orientation so I needed to practice. It was so fun! What a great core/hip work out. I thought it would be harder to pick up hooping but by the end of it I was walking in circles, stepping forward and back, doing squats, and a whole mess of other things.
just a little crane for you guys =]
