Well, technically, yesterday, since it's after midnight...
Firstly, I tried to be prepared because I knew I'd be going out tonight to a Mexican restaurant. My roomie was singing a gig there, and I hadn't heard her band yet. They're good! So, I kept everything real light & simple through the day.
First, the DOWNS:
By only eating about 1/3 of my meal at the restaurant (plus chips & salsa, and having a margarita!), I'm 800 over my daily calorie budget. OUCH!
Not really surprising, but weigh-in is tomorrow, and I don't think it'll look too good given the last few days. But, oh well, it's not likely I'll be eating like that again anytime soon, and the leftovers are so much (it was HUGE) that I now have 2 pre-made lunches and a snack. Wow...all for $15! (Wait, the price is an UP!)
The rest of the UPS:
I asked to open at work today, to leave me free to do something in the afternoon, and I actually got up with my alarm without the snooze!
Then, even though I got lost on Beach Blvd in Gulfport, looking for the Gulf Coast Coliseum, I finally made it and with my cousin's help, finally determined what type of gun I really want for self-defense. So, now comes the procurement process!
Then, I had some time to kill before meeting my friends at the above-mentioned restaurant, so I went to the Edgewater Mall in Gulfport. Didn't know where I was going to go, but I ended up in Belk. I'm so glad I did!
I wandered over to the dresses, the fancy dresses, because I will have to buy one to stand in my friend's wedding in December. Well, a few great things happened there.
One, I didn't have to look through the Plus sizes!
I fit great in a regular ol' 14!
Two, I found SEVERAL styles that looked really good on me, which is a completely new thing!
Three, I found THE DRESS!!!!! It's absolutely gorgeous, and I fit very well in a 14, even a tiny bit loose (except the jacket, the jacket's always a problem - I have my dad's football shoulders). Anyway...I know that if I buy a 12, I'll be in it with no worries by December.

Four, I didn't buy it today, 'cause I didn't have my money with me that I set aside for a dress, but I'll need to do it soon, because this dress is on sale for 40% off!
If I wait too long, it'll be gone.
Then, I showed pics of myself in this dress to my engaged friend, and told her my plan, and she said, "At the rate you're going now, you should be in a 10 by December!"
Always nice to hear encouragement from someone with skin on.
I think I was 21 the last time I wore a 10. That'll be weird!
Then, I got to cheer on said friend as she sang backup for 3 sets, while simultaneously watching the New Orleans Saints beat the Houston Texans!
So...today could've been a LOT worse! It could've been a total derail, but with a little planning, I minimized the final damage, and I managed to accomplish a great deal on the personal front. All in all, even given the extra 800 calories, a good day!
