Here I am again, had a 1lb loss, and was shocked, I had 3 BBQ's this week, and instead of obsessing over the food, I took Rockman 6797's advice from last week, and just had a small portion of everything I wanted, 1/2 steak instead of a whole steak, 1/2 baked potato, lots of salad.drizzle of dressing, and a wee portion of dessert! I didn't feel deprived at all, and still managed to lose a lb.
I try to avoid those things thick with mayo, but if that's all there is I just take a very small portion of it! I found loading up on salad really helps me!
I was having a hard time trying to get in exercise, but managed some, next week will be quiet so will get more in!
Another big eye opener was when we were having pictures taken, I didn't realize how much I had gained till I was looking at the end results....OMG I was the biggest person there...those are the times I feel bad about myself, and how I have let myself go ! But all is not lost because at least now I am moving forward and doing something about it! If I work hard all year, next summer there will be a change in how I look at myself!
You just have to settle down, believe in what you can accomplish, and work toward it, day after day, do something to help yourself , to become what you dream of! For me it's a healthier, happier, smaller me.....
