Back in the Matrix

FINALLY! My internet got connected today ... that was tough having such little access, amazing how reliant I have become on getting in my Spark fix! I LIKE it!

I crack myself up in the supermarket ... I walk up to it (its like 300 metres away), and select a few veg and fruit (to see me through for 3 days). Eventually I come to that aisle ... where I slowly check out the chocolate, and the freezers which house the dark chocolate mini magnums and everytime, I decide NO, just get some yogurt for my sweet hit. I'm really looking forward to being in the rhythm of having whatever food I love in my house safely.

Another routine that has been interrupted was that I had a face resurfacing treatment this week ... I have a condition known as 'melasma' where my skin creates too much melanin in areas and makes brown spots on my face. I hate it, so I'm doing something about it. The laser treatment stung (but was bearable), and left me swollen and very pink for a couple of days. I wasn't allowed to do any strentuous exercise, and I've been off work for the past 3 days. So no walks :(

HOWEVER ... I did enjoy my brief walk to the supermarket today and I just completed a great strengths session. I think my weights are too light now (only 2kgs each), so I need to go and get some heavier ones within the next fortnight. I'm really pleased with how my body is changing as a result of the strengths training. My arms are much more toned (at this rate, they're going to be great for our southern summer!).

I just feel so priviledged to be able to be making all these improvements for myself. Its so exciting ... here I am all alone, and undergoing an awesome transformation. I am so ready to be fabulous!
