So I decided to start writing about my sweet tooth cravings. Maybe it'll help

I have noticed that this usually strikes me right before I go to bed. I'm not sure what it is, maybe I am tired and my body wants to stay up so it thinks SUGAR!!!!!
I'm at work right now and I don't really have a craving for anything sugary -- mainly protein is what I'm craving.

I'll see how well I do tonight when I get home when it comes to my sugar craving. I know sometimes I substitute bitter flavors for sugary ones since I know I won't over-indulge that way (esp chocolate) however... I don't have any bitter chocolate on me. Hmm.

Let's see how this goes

I've never thought of "is it worth eating this and working out an extra 30 minutes?" I think that would be a good deterrant. I usually just focus on "do I have enough calories? fat? protein? carbs?" etc etc.
I think I'm going to start just brushing my teeth around bed time so then I can say yeah I can have some water, but no more food! Sometimes I stop myself from brushing my teeth early because of this... but I really need to be stronger.
I'm going to get ready for bed now and brush my teeth -- here it goes :)

How has tracking food going? I know it helped me when I KNEW that I had already met my calories for the day. How much did I really want that treat... was it worth an extra half-hour of cardio? I'll bargain with myself. First I make myself drink a glass of water and promise to wait 30 minutes and then see if I'm still craving that treat. Then I try and wait 30 more minutes. Usually I end up forgetting that I really wanted that treat after about an hour. Of course I'm *not* diabetic, so it mught be easier for me to do that than it is for you, who can say.

I LOVE the challenges! I did both the 8-week diabetic challenge and the Walk Your Way to 5K in 5 Weeks challenge and they both gave me a purpose, something to work towards. I need to find a new challenge to help motivate me. I'm not that big of a sweet tooth but I might check out the Sweettooth Challenge.

Good luck with ignoring the sugar cravings tonight! It helps me to write out reasons for quitting sugar then reading that list in the late evenings.
