Ok so last night's WW meeting was about adding movement to your day. It made me realize just how much (or should I say how little) movement I am actually getting in a day. I have a very sedintary job. I sit at a computer for like 8 hours and I compute for another 1.5. So that makes 9.5 hours of sitting (see I am an accountant I can add-LOL). I do try to get some exercise in either the morning before or the evening after. But really does 30-60 minutes make up for ALL that sitting? Probably not. SO......

Today I am going to start trying to get up every 30-60 minutes and move for at least 5 mintues at a clip. Every time I have to go to the copier (which is only about 30 seconds from my desk) I will keep moving for 3 minutes. Don't care what people in the next office think. I NEED to do this. I think maybe i will try and go down to the fitness center in the basement (yes we have one down there, pretty cool) at lunch and move on something for 15 minutes.

So who will keep me accountable to this? Any volenteers out there?

    and job is on my feet most of the day! Yet..I have found ways to add steps I wait for the presses to feed thru..I march in place...

    do you have stairs in the building. I often go to the stairs and go and down for a few mintues.
